Question: Union Jack Decor … Yes or No?

Good morning! True story: William and I got into a fight over who is more into the Olympics. It’s pretty die hard around here. It’s actually a little anniversary of ours …William asked me to be his girlfriend four years ago when Michael Phelps was swimming.

Now that I’ve sufficiently embarrassed my husband by telling that anecdote, my inner-anglophile is dying to discuss the Union Jack flag as home decor. I know people get pretty passionate about whether or not they’d put it in their home, and I’d love to hear from you.

Is it the perfect statement or just too bold?

This Kohler ad gets a YES!

as does this dresser …

these throw pillows … uh huh

and even this radio … a yes.

… but a whole fridge? Y’all I have to draw the line somewhere.

Although, I’d be happy to put these Union Jack mini bottles of champagne inside my regular old fridge.

So … tell me what you think. Would you fly the British flag in your house?

I would add the Union Jack with the little details… the champagne the fabulous radio and even the pillows to add a pop of color! But the fridge and dresser, although adorable, are a little bit too much. Great post!!

I LOVE the Union Jack as decor. There is just something so iconic about it. I have a Union Jack doormat and am always open to more of it. That Kohler ad is a favorite of mine too! Great post and enjoy the Olympics!

I actually just bought a Union Jack pillow this week. I think seeing it all over the Olympics convinced me. I think a pillow is the perfect pop in my house – a fun graphic design and nod to my love of all things English.
